Wait, there's one more - Hyundai i30 wins again
17 April 2009

Yet another accolade is being squeezed onto the already crowded awards shelf for the Hyundai i30. For the second year running the i30 has been a winner at the prestigious What Car? Awards in the U.K.

The judges named the i30 1.4 Comfort 5-door as the 'Small Family Car Best Buy under £12,000'. What Car? said the criteria they were looking for was "a car to excel at everything from family holidays to daily commutes, that's affordable to buy and own, and gives the driver some fun along with a supple ride and secure handling."

"It's becoming a familiar story around the world; the i30 seems to be hitting all the right notes with everyone from consumers to the industry experts." Said Philip Eustace, Executive Director Hyundai Motors New Zealand.

"Here at home the i30 was recently named best car overall in the AA Motoring Excellence Awards, the international awards are great but that one meant a lot to us - it means we've got a product that New Zealanders love - and for good reason. With an uncompromising commitment to safety (every vehicle we sell has Electronic Stability Control and the latest safety technology) the i30 represent s excellent value-for-money."

Philip finished by saying: "We've just launched the i30 Wagon which we believe is a perfect car for the New Zealand family, and it comes with all the features that has made the i30 an award winning car."

International acclaim continues to grow for the i30. The car has won prestigious awards in, Argentina, Spain, Romania, the Middle East as well as a multitude of awards in Australia, including ‘Australia's Best Mid-size Car Under $28,000' awarded by Australia's top motoring clubs.

Over one million consumers consult the U.K. publication What Car? every month. The What Car? stable also includes the award-winning website whatcar.com, What Car? New Car Guide and the What Car? Price Guide.
